About us

We’re two friends who always dreamed of starting our own business. That dream took shape through a shared passion: cold plunging. From the first moment we tried it — focus sharper, calm steady — we were hooked. Pairing the cold with sauna heat made the cycle feel complete: heat up, cool down, repeat. But we noticed that most people in Amsterdam still haven’t tried it, or don’t know where to start. That’s why we founded Yskamer in the 9 Straatjes — a small sauna and ice bath studio in centrum Amsterdam. A space to introduce more people to heat and cold in a welcoming, stylish, and down-to-earth way. No hype, just a real experience.

A good rotation a session is:

  • Start with 12–15 minutes in the sauna to fully warm up and relax your muscles.

  • Take 2–3 minutes in the ice bath (start shorter if you’re new, around 1 minute).

  • Rest for a few minutes between rounds to let your body adjust.
